Microchiping Your Puppy
Microchips are tiny computer chips that have an indentification
one-of-a-kind number programmed into them. They are small enough
to fit into a hypodermic needle and incased in smooth, biocompatible
glass. They last about 25 years and they do not require any
upkeep.
If your pet is lost or stolen,
Vetinarians, rescue centers, and dog pounds all have microchip
readers. They will be able to scan and
read the number from the microchip and trace the puppy back to you.
Unless you ask us not too, we will be microchiping your puppy before
we send it to you. We have chosen Avid Microchips because
they can be read but almost any
microchip reader. A copy of your puppies microchip number
will be included with your AKC papers.
The microchip number has been registered to us, as the breeders.
For $15 you can change the registration to your own name and
put us down as the secondary contact if you like,
in case you can not be reached.
